On the way to Colombo

After the new year vacation I decided to leave the bus at the sea street - Galle just have a walk along. It was a stunning morning with beautiful and calmness were all around. It was very beautiful sunrise from the sea end and was a privilege to witnessed it.

Then I proceeded towards the Main street and wondered to see a different kind of town. All the streets were empty hardly having people around and it was even difficult to imagine how these streets were just before the new year.

And I was clearly come to see another attraction which I couldn't aware earlier when the street was full of people. All the electric cables above our heads and the ground were occupied by birds and created some strange environment there. They were so busy among themselves chirruping like we were intruders.

Beautiful Sripadha

This is one of the highest mountains in Sri Lanka, blessed with the noble footprints of  Lord Buddha. It is not a wonder why Lord Buddha selected this mountain when consider its calmness and beauty of the nature which surrounded it. There are lots of interesting stories about how it found and how it was worshipped even from the very beginning. Surely its one of the holiest places in Sri Lanka which heals the mind set of millions of people over the years. This beautiful place is truly a sanctuary and it is not a wonder how you feel if you fortunate enough to reach there. No words to explain the beautiful sceneries you may seen at the top of the mountain with the feeling that now you are beyond everybody's reach. Somebody may hardly find an breathtaking event like sun rice in the morning and most probably you should be experience it at least once in a lifetime.

    According to Sinhalese proverbs, whether you have climbed it or not you are a fool and I was a fool for the fourth time to visit this beautiful masterpiece. I was rewarded once I got there by the glamorous view of the sun rice and almost forgotten the tiredness.
